Hootsuite acquires Talkwalker

In a press release on 8 April 2024, Hootsuite announced that they had acquired Talkwalker and their leading social media listening and analysis platform. The acquisition is significant in the media intelligence industry. It provides new opportunities for Infomedia and our customers, who now have a single platform for social media management.

Infomedia’s annual result 2023

Infomedia realized revenue of DKK 240.5 million in 2023 compared to DKK 225.3 million in 2022, with growth coming from activities in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the software company Opoint. Profit before tax was DKK 11.5 million in 2023 compared to DKK 4.2 million in 2022, reflecting strategic progress and better utilization of new technologies.

Infomedia CFO Kate Wichmann becomes interim CEO

In the spring of 2023, Thomas Vejlemand decided to step down as CEO of Infomedia by the end of 2023 at the latest. After a successful handover, the company’s CFO Kate Wichmann has taken over the role as interim CEO from October.

Infomedia opens an office in Helsinki

Media intelligence company Infomedia is expanding its Nordic operations with the establishment of an office in Finland and has just hired a Country Manager in Helsinki. This is part of a growth strategy and an increasing demand for a complete Nordic provider of media monitoring and insights from the company’s largest Nordic customers.

Thomas Vejlemand resigns as CEO of Infomedia

After eight years as CEO of media intelligence company Infomedia, Thomas Vejlemand has decided to step down at the end of 2023. A recruitment process is now being launched to find his successor. At the same time, the executive board will be expanded to include CEO, current CFO Kate Wichmann and COO Jørgen Momme Iversen, who will be brought in from JP/Politikens Erhvervsmedier.

Infomedia realized revenue of DKK 225.3 million compared to DKK 215.7 million in 2021, with growth coming primarily from activities in Denmark, Norway, and the software company Opoint. Profit before tax was DKK 4.2 million in 2022 compared to DKK 12.2 million in 2021, reflecting a more conservative market and investments in product and technology platforms and organizational adjustments.
