Infomedia’s annual results 2021

Infomedia expanded its Nordic position in 2021 and realized a turnover of DKK 215.7 million compared to DKK 204.8 million in 2020. The growth comes from activities in Norway, Sweden, and the software company Opoint.

The Danish company delivered on par with 2021. Operating profit (EBITDA) amounted to DKK 22.5 million in 2021 compared to DKK 22.8 million in 2020. The result reflects investments in the Shared Service Center in Estonia and the reorganization and strengthening of the Swedish company. Profit before tax amounted to DKK 12.2 million compared to DKK 12.0 million in 2020.

– As for all other companies, it was another year with COVID-19, which naturally affected market and development activities for large parts of 2020. We maintained planned investments in our Nordic consolidation, including developing a new product platform, new brand identity, and new websites for Infomedia and Opoint. Investments in digital transformation and data science initiatives were also made to support automation and new types of communication analytics. We consider the result satisfactory under the given market conditions, says CEO Thomas Vejlemand.

Several management and organizational initiatives have been implemented in 2021 to strengthen the company further.

– We have come a long way in integrating our companies from acquisitions in 2018 and 2019, leading to new management approaches. We have appointed a new country manager for the Danish company and a new CEO for Opoint, both recruited internally. We have established a new Nordic management team consisting of country managers and managers responsible for cross-cutting process areas. We have a strong team and have started 2022 with a more robust customer intake and increased interest in our international media monitoring with a focus on crisis management and market research, concludes CEO Thomas Vejlemand.

The ambition is to make Infomedia the preferred software solution partner within media monitoring in the Nordics and internationally, focusing on business strategic media analysis and communication insights.
