– I am both delighted and honored to be awarded the role by my colleagues in the industry. It is a well-constituted international board with ten members representing companies from the US, Asia, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. This provides an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and gain inspiration across markets for the benefit of our customers, says Thomas Vejlemand.
FIBEP has approximately 200 corporate members from more than 70 countries. The industry organization and its members are focused on providing globally driven solutions in media monitoring, media analytics, PR distribution, journalist databases, consulting services, and SaaS platforms.
– There are many important topics to address to develop the media monitoring industry. As an industry, we need to address media development and new copyright legislation, we need to manage the giant tech platforms that limit access to social media content, and we need to be able to address customer needs for media monitoring in a local, regional, and global context. We must deliver more innovative solutions focusing on data-driven PR & communication insights. This requires new technology, data science, and analytical skills. I look forward to participating in the exciting tasks while leading the development of Infomedia’s companies in the Nordic region and internationally through Opoint, Vejlemand elaborates.
FIBEP was founded in 1953 in Paris and now hosts many activities, including the FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress, networking sessions, competence-building initiatives, technology forums, and participation in several research studies focusing on data science and technology utilization.
